  • Back by popular demand... The Young Brooklyn Community @ Talmud Torah will be hosting our Friday night @ TT Davening and Dinner on Jan 3rd!

    Come and enjoy the long Shabbos night together with over 100 friends!

    Enjoy a three course catered Shabbos meal with wine, followed by a dessert sweet table! 

    Mincha at 4:25 pm followed by Kabbalas Shabbos & Maariv. 
    The Shabbos meal begins at 5:15 pm.

    For ages 23 - 43. Couples welcome.

    Cost = $58

    If you are a PAID member of Talmud Torah, deduct $5.

    Payments must be made by midnight Monday December 30th as required by the caterer. 

    Based on past experience, all available seats for this Shabbos evening are expected to sell out. So, please reserve early to avoid missing out.

    Reminder - No one will be allowed to come in for the dessert sweet table without paying for the meal, even if you don't eat or drink anything. We will be enforcing this. Thank you for your understanding & we hope you join us for the full fun evening together!

    A few people have generously offered to host Shabbos lunch meals, so If you would like to join a Shabbos lunch meal, or for a place to stay in Brooklyn, please contact Chaya Siegfried at Hospitality@youngbrooklyncommunity.com. Please be sure to make your hospitality requests as soon as possible, and latest by Midnight Monday December 30th. 

    Shabbos morning davening begins at 8:45 am followed by our weekly hot kiddush at around 11:15 am. 

    We are looking for a few good men and women to sponsor our kiddush Shabbos morning Jan 4th for all your friends from Friday Night @ TT to enjoy. Kiddush donations are tax deductible & can be made easily by adding on to your Friday Night @ TT reservation payment. Please also email Naftali Nadel on facebook if you are making a kiddush donation (and if it is in honor of anything). A full kiddush sponsorship is $400, a co-sponsorship is $100, or you can make a kiddush donation of any amount. We will announce the sponsors on this facebook event page, in our weekly email, and at shul Shabbos morning. Tizku Lemitzvos!

Shabbat Community Luncheon @ TT celebrating Chanukah!

Talmud Torah invites the entire TT shul community - families, couples and YBC friends - to a special Pre-Chanukah Shabbat Luncheon following davening on Saturday December 17, Shabbat Parshat Vayeshev, in the TT simcha hall. 

The many of you who have participated in TT’s prior seudot in celebration of Chanukah will recall those friendly and festive meals featuring a delicious multi-course catered meal. TT looks forward to welcoming you back, as well as new guests, along with your friends and family to celebrate Chanukah together again this year.

It's back! In honor of the three year anniversary of the Young Brooklyn Community @ Talmud Torah, we will be hosting another Friday night @ TT davening and dinner on 11-11-11!

This is the first Shabbos with the clock change, so come and enjoy the long Friday night together with over 100 friends. Enjoy a catered three course Shabbos meal with wine, plus a dessert sweet table beginning at approximately 5pm. Mincha at 4:27 pm followed by Kabbalas Shabbos, Maariv and the Shabbos meal. 

For ages 20 - 40. Couples welcome.

Shmini Atzeret Community Luncheon in the TT Succah - Thursday, October 20 · 12:30pm - 3:00pm

The Young Brooklyn Community @ TT invites individuals, couples and families to stay after davening on Shmini Atzeret and join a community-wide lunch in the large, beautiful TT sukka!
 
This year, let's celebrate Shmini Atzeret together! 
 
Enjoy a warm catered scrumptious buffet style meal, dessert and drinks with friends, following shachris (beginning @ 8:30am), Thursday, October 20th.
 
Cost is $30 for TT members and $35 for non-members
 
Space is limited.

It's back! The Young Brooklyn Community @ Talmud Torah is hosting a Kabbalas Shabbos Davening and Friday Night Dinner on March 26th, Shabbos Hagadol.

Mincha @ 7pm followed by Kabbalas Shabbos and Maariv. 

Enjoy a catered three course Shabbos meal plus a dessert sweet table beginning @ approximately 7:35pm.

We will be privileged to have Rabbi and Rebbetzin Shulman join us. Rabbi Shulman will address us with a brief d'var Torah.

Cost: $36 per person for reservations made by Monday March 22nd Midnight. $42 after.

Clothing Drive & Flea Market @ TT - Jan 10th, 2010

 

Chessed, music, fun, friends and food, all in one! A great way to spend your early Sunday afternoon, on a cold winter day.
 
Clothing Drive: 
If you have clothing you never wear, now is the time to put them to a better use!! 
 
Bring us your bags of old, unwanted, unworn, or plain “doesn't fit anymore” clothing and we will give it away to a charitable organization. Tax receipts are available. 
(Please note that we cannot accept clothing that is torn/ripped, stained or worn out/yellowed)
 
Flea Market:
Come shop at the YBC flea market and find great bargains including house items donated by friends of the YBC community and other worthwhile finds from local vendors (ladies’ make up, head bands, custom jewelry and more). Proceeds from the flea market go to Congregation Talmud Torah.
 
Interested in donating to the flea market? Take advantage and declutter! Donate your old jewelry, picture frames, books, CDs, kitchen trays, cameras, vases, radios etc. 
 
We can pick up your flea market items! Please email Gigi Bitton and Chaya Bree at chessed@youngbrooklyncommunity.com with any questions or to arrange a pick up day and time.

SHABBOS CHANUKAH LUNCH @ TT - DEC 12TH, 2009 - 11:30AM TO 2:00PM

There have been a lot of requests for another community shabbos meal, and what better time than Shabbos Chanukah! Everyone is invited to join the TT community, YBC friends, young couples and families, for a special Shabbos Chanukah Community Luncheon @ TT, on the first day of Chanukah, next Shabbos Parshas Vayeshev, December 12th.

Like the Yom Ha'atzmaut lunch that was enjoyed by many, this Chanukah lunch will feature a delicious multi course catered meal, plus a desert sweet table. 

Lunch will follow davening in the TT simcha hall at approximately 11:30am. 

Cost: Adults - $36 per person : Children under 12 - $15
